Antica Bologna ha sido un favorito en Northcote Road por más de veinte años -bastante tiempo para el negocio de restaurantes en Londres- y es todavía original y emocionante como el día en que abrió sus puertas, pues evoca imágenes de osterías perdidas en pequeños pueblos de la campiña silvestre en la región de la Emilia-Romaña o las ondulantes colinas de la Toscana, con su animada bienvenida propia de un antiguo favorito familiar. El chef Marzio Zacchi creció en la zona rural de Piamonte en el seno de una familia que criaba gallinas, cosechaba sus verduras y curaba su propio salami, por lo cual defiende con firmeza el uso de productos frescos locales. Sin embargo, a pesar de su crianza al estilo rural, Zacchi ha llevado la comida en Osteria Antica Bologna al tipo de sofisticación que solo puede alcanzarse tras pasar varios años de entrenamiento en restaurantes londinenses.

Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. It fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening an East End chippie and a desire to offer customers a taste of the old East End.

Fran's is a neighbourhood caff on Wilton Way, offering British and Italian comfort food. All day English breakfast, fry ups, fresh handmade pasta. We welcome walk-ins throughout the day and take bookings for our evening menu from 5.30pm Thursday to Saturday. On Sunday we have our all day breakfast and weekend lunch menu until 3pm. We have our Wine Bar a few doors down, if you would like to visit pre dinner or while waiting for a table.Please be advised we do not take reservations for Breakfast or Lunch. First time at The Veg Box but not the last. This is such a friendly restaurant: we felt very welcome. Going upstairs, we were very pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous, light and open space. But, after only a short wait, that was surpassed by the food. The lasagne stood out but the ramen noodles, budha bowl and everything else was excellent, too. We'll be recommending this restaurant every time we can.

The service was superb and the haddock fish & chips even better - the best we've enjoyed in the UK. Their high ratings are definitely earned!!

Very nice staff, lovely wine and dessert! But the only thing to consider is they don’t have a toilet so be aware to when booking.
