Dinner was most enjoyable. We celebrated my son's birthday and were treated to a complimentary champagne toast. The scallop and lobster risotto was scrumptious as was the bone-in New York Strip. Juan was attentive and fun! Capital Grille is a special place to celebrate milestones.

I brought a friend that had never been to G&V and we sat at my favorite table in the bar area, #52. There were 4 of us and Edwin was our server. Edwin was perfect! He was interesting and fun. He explained the menu to my friend and she got the eggplant Parmesan and loved it. She even got a free Alfredo to take home. She got the flight of red wine and said she would order it again. We all shared my favorite baked goat cheese which is the best! This is my “go to” neighborhood restaurant.

The food and service were excellent as always. I had the 8oz Filet Mignon and my wife had the Scallops and both were outstanding! We started with lump crab stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious and followed that up with the butternut squash soup before moving on to the entrees. My only complaint would be that we were seated in the bar area and there was a very loud group of people sitting at the bar. I will request in the future not to be seated in that area.

Incredible food and service! Funny story, it was our anniversary and we didn’t remember but OpenTable and our waiter (Mario) did! He made the night really special and we can’t thank you enough!
