Modus Ristorante es el nuevo y lujoso lugar en el Financial District para disfrutar de elegante gastronomía italiana. Modus Ristorante es un nuevo restaurante en el Financial District y sirve comida italiana pero, sorprendentemente, nadie tiene interés en llamarla "rústica". Sam Genkov, el propietario del Bravi Ristorante (un favorito del área por 16 años), así como el chef Bruce Woods, quien trabajaba en Brassaii, son quienes se encuentran detrás de Modus. Woods no es ningún extraño en la alta gastronomía italiana, pues trabajó en Il Posto a finales de los años 90 y se convirtió en chef ejecutivo y copropietario de Centro después de quedarse a cargo en el lugar de Marc Thuet. El menú de Modus muestra a Woods de vuelta en su elemento, al recrear clásicos italianos reconocibles y convertirlos en creaciones de gastronomía fina. El sommelier Ruben Elmer del Profile Wine Group es el encargado de la carta de 300 botellas de vino del restaurante, y ha trabajado anteriormente en Canoe y Auberge du Pommier. La carta ofrece 10 tintos y 8 o 9 blancos por copa, con un gran enfoque en los vinos italianos, californianos y sudamericanos.

Muy atenta y cordial atención, desde la puerta de entrada y durante todo el almuerzo. Excelente vista de la ciudad. Comida excelente, bien preparada y servida perfectamente, en un tiempo razonable. Ayuda y buena disposición en todo momento, incluso procurando una persona parlante en nuestro mismo idioma. Buenas sugerencias de platos y postres, ago como vino. Totalmente recomendable. Volveremos, seguramente, nada vez que visitemos Toronto.
