Il Colosseo is an Italian restaurant that is a local favorite. The dining room here is small and intimate, which adds to the homey atmosphere the eatery provides. At the back of the dining room, Il Colosseo has an open kitchen where guests can watch as the talented kitchen staff prepares the food. The kitchen is dominated by a giant brick oven where the staff cooks up all of its incredible pizzas.Il Colosseo begins its menu with antipasti like fried calamari for two, baked clams, sautéed octopus, sautéed broccoli rabe and a pasta e fagioli soup with white kidney beans and fusilli noodles in a light tomato broth. My best friend and I stopped here for a very needed girls night after a longgggg work day and it was such a vibe! The atmosphere was perfect—great energy, music that set the mood, and a trendy yet chill setting. We tried a little bit of everything since we read the reviews and settled for the jerk chicken, tacos and wings, and the curry goat. Every dish was REALLLLLLY GOOD. The jerk chicken had a lot of flavor and wasn’t too spicy which we liked, the tacos and wings wad a good starter, the curry goat was tender and delicious. The drinks were trendy and tasty—definitely a highlight of the night. Whether you’re out with your bestie or just want good food and drinks, this spot won’t disappoint. We’ll absolutely be back.
