A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! What began as an idea for a small space in New York’s East Village has since become a downtown New York staple, housed on the Bowery for the last ten years. With this second location in Penn District, chef-partner Andrew Carmellini will carry on his same tried and true methods of making fresh pasta traditionally prepared and cooked to order, using a variety of non-GMO semolina and specialty ‘00’ flours, organic eggs and family recipes. Fue maravillosa la atención. Teníamos reserva a las 22:15 y fuimos a las 21 reventados de andar todo el día, con el ánimo de que nos dejaran entrar antes. Así fue, nos atendieron nada más entrar y disfrutamos de su Burger y pizza más famosa. Vale cada dollar que pagamos. 100% recomendable si vienes a la ciudad.

Nos dieron la mesa antes de lo previsto porque llegamos temprano. Excelente ambiente, muy concurrido. La comida deliciosa, y los cócteles espectaculares, muy amable la atención de los mozos.
