Modesto, un restaurante dirigido por el chef y propietario Hector Diaz, utiliza productos que provienen de los agricultores locales para ofrecer platillos italianos de alto nivel cocinados en leña. El menú cambia dos veces al día e incluye una variedad de mariscos frescos, carnes finas y pastas hechas en casa. Las pizzas se cocinan en un horno de leña hecho en Italia y la masa se estira a la mano.     This is usually one of my favorite lunch spots, but today the food was off. The fish was way overcooked and tuna croquettes were dry and fishy tasting. It’s usually much better.

    I found the veal to be a little tough and the rigatoni under it was cold. Pretty nice restaurant and I will try it again and order something else.

    Fabulous food and wine. Loved the fact that they make their own pasta, including a very good gluten free rice pasta. Can’t wait to go back.

    My partner and I had a grand time enjoying a special birthday dinner at Modesto. Veronica, our upbeat server, made us feel welcome, was attentive to every detail, and warmly professional in her timely service to our table. The food - so many choices! - satisfied every anticipation, was artfully plated and robustly delicious. Our table for two, in a quiet corner, was perfect for the occasion. Our next visit we hope to sit at the bar. Modesto is an intimate space, cozy in the cold months, that expands with spacious streetside seating when days are warmer. We will be back. Five Stars

    We were expecting a lot more. The reviews were really good, but our experience around the food was awful. The specials menu was really large, which was a red flag. The fried flounder was inedible we actually sent it back and they offered no compensation either which was a surprise. The risotto was undercooked the fish was Slimy and had no flavor, and there was a random mix of overcooked vegetables and had no flavor. The fish cakes could have been good but they black and burnt, and had the taste of using old oil. The exception was the service which was great. The bar tender was outstanding - he made great cocktails and was so attentive. He gets 5 stars.
