Michael’s Grill is a refreshing destination for a unique dining experience in the town of Carrollwood. It hosts a spacious covered patio along with a beautiful granite bar to enjoy your favorite cocktails. Main dining room offers an open kitchen experience, where fully trained Chefs can be seen preparing the magic that you deserve. Michael’s fresh seafood is the talk of the town, which he attributes to a long lasting friendship with a local fish monger of 30 years.
Steaks, chicken and pasta also compliments the menu, as well as a trendy lunch menu offering.

Don't get me wrong, My wife and I have been to Michael's MANY time. We keep going back because it's usually wonderful. But this was our worst experience. The problem stems from the fact that they allowed themselves to book a FULL restaurant (both sides) and THEN booked a HUGE private party on the other side. So they had to try and accommodate a FULL booking in 1/2 a restaurant. We got there at 6:25pm for a 6:30pm reservation, we were told of the "situation" and made to wait more than 20 minutes until a table could be found. At which point they put us in the back corner of the restaurant opposite the waitress station. My wife was very unhappy about this. They tried to "make things right" by giving us a free glass of prosecco, and a free appetizer (Fried brie), but it didn't help that it took a VERY long time for our food to come out because they were badly over-booked and crazy busy. Sadly, my father-in-law's Halibut was pretty chewy, and my wife onion soup was much too salty. I enjoyed my snapper, but it's hard to enjoy my food when everyone else was unhappy. Our waitress did her best, but under such circumstances, what can you do? It was also our FIRST time that Chef Michael didn't come over to say hello to us, I think he knew that night was a lost cause. All I can say is PLEASE do not over-book your restaurant. I'd MUCH rather NOT get a reservation than have bad night.

Our first time to try this restaurant. It was an amazing find the food was creative delicious well prepared. All the staff and wait help top notch and on the spot. It was our first time but it won't be the last, too many delicious choices.

Food was served hot and service was timely. Fish special was delicious. Although the grouper bowl was tasty it was a little overpriced for the portion and accompanying items in a bowl. I will return to this restaurant and we enjoyed the ambience.
