    Wow! Haven’t been to Michael’s in quite awhile because several previous meals left me unimpressed. Then I kept hearing from friends that the food was quite bad and the prices were exorbitant. Lots of other restaurants so I headed elsewhere. Took my son there for lunch today, big mistake food wise. Our server, Rosa was great. Attentive and pleasant. Then our brunch came. I had ordered Eggs Benedict with the eggs poached firm. There is no doubt that the eggs had been microwaved. They were rubbery and the texture was actually crumbly…gross in other words. The English muffin had not been toasted so it was soggy and the hollandaise, while a nice consistency, had no taste. All the lemon I added just couldn’t give it any flavor. I said something to Rosa and the manger came over. There was one and a half eggs still on my plate and almost an entire muffin. They gave me a discount of $4.50 when they should have combed my meal. The potatoes on the plate were delicious, creamy in the middle, nicely crunchy exterior and well seasoned. We used to frequent Michael’s 4-5 times a month. Since the pandemic it doesn’t seem that they care much about the food they serve, it’s a real shame. I met my husband at Michael’s 25 years ago so there are a lot of pleasant memories about the place but that just doesn’t offset how bad the food is. Michael’s, you can do so much better.

    We must first declare that we will be looking into whether these eggs were in fact microwaved or not. Is it possible that the eggs were just drastically overcooked/over-poached? Either way, we try our best to solve these problems at the table like our manager attempted. We regret that we could not make this right for you. Thank you for the kind words about our team members. We will certainly look into whether your dish was in fact microwaved or not and will solve this internally if any problem exists. We feel that we have one the best groups of people in our kitchen now that we have ever had so this message comes as a surprise. It's a beautiful thing that you met your husband here at our restaurant and we appreciate you mentioning all the positive things you did here.

    We ordered the lamb meatballs and they were undercooked. We let our waiter know and she took the plate and came back with the very same plate and told us the chef said that they were done and for some reason let us know that the meatballs were lamb and not ground beef as if we didn’t know what we ordered.. Then our burgers came out super burnt, guessing the chef was trying to be smart.

    My wife and I treated a long-time friend who was in Maryland for Christmas. All of us thought the food was excellent. The BBQ Baby Back Rib serving size was ENORMOUS. I took half of them home for another meal. My wife's single crab cake dinner and my friend's Atlantic salmon dinner were just the right size. Our server, Mary, was a gem: friendly and efficient. The only problem we had was our entrees were served - NOT by Mary - well before my wife and I had finished our Soup and Salad, respectively. A closer attention to timing will be appropriate.

    We had a fantastic Christmas dinner with family on Saturday night 12/21/24. Our food was fantastic, our waiter Mark/Marc was witty and good at this job. My Mom gushed about how good her espresso martini was. There were only 2 negatives. For some reason my parents didn't get their soups (the only appetizers for the table), when the entrees came out, we mentioned it to the waiter and they were taken off the bill no issues. Then my son was served an adult burger instead of the kids sliders. It was fine, it was delish, he said it was the #2 burger he ever had. I ate some, and I have to say it's a darn good burger. It was negative because it inflated the bill cost. We will be back, everything was wonderful.
