La nueva ubicación de Mandu fue inaugurada en enero de 2011, está situado en el edificio City Vista, en el barrio de Mount Vernon Triangle. La chef Yesoon Lee y sus dos hijos, Jean y Danny abrieron Mandu en la 18 St., en el otoño del año 2006. La chef Lee preside la cocina asegurándose de que las recetas y platillos tengan los sabores que se le enseñaron originalmente, al ser criada en Seúl. Su especialidad es la creación de platillos coreanos caseros que podrían disfrutarse en su propia cocina. Upon arrival the staff is super welcoming with smiles (loved it). Very cute intimate spot. As soon as seated our server had waters on the table. Was also very grateful for his attention to us && dietary restrictions mentioned when acquiring about a dish substitutions but not actually saying. My girlfriend said the chicken wings were bomb. I got the veggie mandu fried && they were packed && meaty. For my dish I tried something different but really enjoyed it ! Dessert was highlight of the meal though! the croiffle was out this world. Almost had to get one to go! i will be back for that && the fresh gnger beer.

Restaurant empty but still asked to move when we found a bigger table then placed right by the frozen wind of the door. Meat steamed not Grilled. Dumplings rubbery. Staff texting talking to each other, and looking at phones rather than serving clients.

Unbelievably good food, great server who was exceptional with allergies and recommendations. Try those chicken wings! And just about anything else on the menu.

I thought Mandu was terrific! I have eaten a fair bit of Korean food, including in Seoul, and I thought the food here stood out. Our server was helpful and attentive. I appreciated that the noise level allowed us to have an important conversation comfortably over dinner. As it happened, one of my guests forgot a backpack here. The restaurant staff went to considerable trouble to track me down and assure that he got it back. A nice grace note and consistent with the overall vibe of the place.

If you are familiar with Korean food, ask a lot of questions! The menu has variety but it's difficult to understand from the descriptions in the menu. Food was great. Pork belly dishes are best. The green tea cocktail and sojutini were yum.
