The Holiday Tea Service at Magdalena is by far the best I've had outside of London proper. The tea selection consists of 5 lovingly curated teas, which I do prefer to being overwhelmed by a list of 100 teas I've never heard of. The small selection also allows Emma to go into depth about the quirks of each of the teas and I really appreciated getting smell samples of the tea beforehand as well as being walked through the process of preparing each tea we chose. The sandwich/scone/and pastries were all absolutely delicious. The portions at Magdalena were the largest I've seen at any high tea service in the US yet, but it was still a large snack rather than the type of fourth meal you'd get in in the UK. The entire staff was lovely, but being guided through the process by Emma, Madgalena's tea and coffee maven, who is full of enthusiasm for tea, coffee (and honestly all things delicious) elevates the experience form just another afternoon snack to a loving and fun homage to tea.

Lovely food and ambiance, but we were seated next to a service station which was unfortunate. Drinks were outstanding, service was great except our server was noticeably less attentive after we did not order a bottle of wine or app. (We got the bread for two and two entrees, a cocktail, and a few glasses of wine)

This was the first time we went since the pandemic. The restaurant and hotel is still beautiful and classy. The food and service were top notch. The food was I think better than the few times we went before the pandemic. I mentioned this to the waiter and he said they are in between chefs so the Sous Chef was running the kitchen. It was fantastic so they don't need to look any further! The Kale Caesar and special app Tom Yum Shrimp soup were great! The short rib and scallops were equally amazing! The desserts to top it off were decadent, the Chocolate Torte and Basque Cheesecake. Overall, was one of the best meals I have had in Baltimore for a long time. I highly recommend and would go back anytime!

We dined here for the first time in honor of my husband’s retirement, and it was a wonderful experience. Randall was our waiter and he was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the wines and the menu. We had a lot of questions about the history of the hotel/restaurant and Randall answered our questions patiently and offered to have the manager of the hotel stop by our table. He did stop by and gave us more details about the history and offered to give us a tour when we finished our dinner. Certainly it is a very special place; we would go here again.
