Hostess left us awkwardly standing at the desk for a full five minutes while she was on the computer and not welcoming at all. Once seated our waiter was new but was very friendly, welcoming and professional. Cocktails were great. Appetizers just OK. Dinners took a very long time to arrive and were not hot or fresh. Chicken Picata was cold, dry and tough. They subs all of the potato sides from mashed potato’s to a different potato and we weren’t asked if that was ok or we wanted a different choice. Overall a very disappointing dinner for 6 for $500. On the upside decorated beautifully. I will not go back for a sit down meal here. I have had 3 buffet meals here and everything was hot and fresh and tasty.

Very disappointing experience on Christmas eve. Waited at least 10 - 15 minutes at the hostess stand for someone to show up and seat us. Lengthy wait at table for server to show up to take drink order. Even longer wait to get our drinks. Food was served reasonably quickly but waited forever for server to return to take our second drink order. Finally had to ask another server for our second drinks. Food itself was disappointing. Salmon was not fresh; asked for mashed potatoes but served red skin instead. My husband ordered a regular manhattan and the server unilaterally upgraded to a more expensive bourbon. Will not be returning.

We enjoyed our dinner at Lighthouse Sound. The atmosphere and view are so beautiful! Everyone devoured their meals! Cocktails were fabulous as well. Our server, Stephen was very attentive. Water and Iced Teas were always filled. There were 5 of us. To start the warm dinner rolls were a hit! Smelled and tasted Divine. There was no gluten free bread in the restaurant tonight but they offered me something else if I wanted anything. Which was very nice and appreciated. Beef barley soup and cream of crab soup were excellent. The salmon dinners with broccolini and rice were excellent as well. That’s my go to gluten free dish there. The men got the filet - nothing was left on their plates! One of our party got the ribeye - while it was tasty, it was also fatty. That was the only negative for the evening. Everyone was so full there was no room for dessert which sounded amazing. Although no gluten free options if you’re GF. We will definitely be going back to Lighthouse Sound.

The Thanksgiving meal was disappointing compared to last year. The buffet last year included salad and shrimp but not This year the turkey was a pressed meat not fresh option.we will not return forthisHolidayagain,

Our server was great and checked in with ua often.We have had Thanksgiving dinner here the last several years. Unfortunately this year the food was not as plentiful. We really missed the salad and soup this year. Turkey and pumpkin pie was unavailable several times as well. I prefer a carving station instead of meat in trays. The turkey was good but did not look appetizing. I understand that there were more reservations than usual and even though the food we had was tasty it was not worth the price. We did appreciate more dessert choices but missed the usual apple cobbler.

First time dining at The Lighthouse Sound and will not be the last . A must go to place in Ocean City MD to have a date night or celebrate a special occasion.

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant located in the clubhouse of a golf course overlooking the bay west of Ocean City MD. We enjoyed the three course meal with a bottle of wine including Lighthouse shrimp, cream of crab soup or salad, salmon or crab cake for $69 a couple. It was a quiet dinner and a lovely view.
