Left Bank es una auténtica brasserie francesa que celebra la gastronomía mediterranea. Este restaurante transporta a sus comensales a una brasserie típica de París sin salir del encantador centro de Menlo Park. Inagurado en 1998, y completamente remodelado en el 2008, Left Bank ofrece a sus comensales gastronomía clásica del sur de Francia en un ambiente agradable y casual tipo brasserie. Our Salles De Amis is a beautiful private mezzanine. You can choose to overlook the main dining room from the balcony, or enclose the room completely with our lush velvet curtains. The sunny yellow walls, warm mahogany accents and vividly colored French posters make this the perfect setting for your occasion. Set up however you wish, the room is large enough for a party of 60, yet intimate enough for a smaller group of 10 or 20. Have a much larger group? We are happy to close the entire restaurant. Our server - who has been at Left Bank for a long time, was simply fabulous. They even brought my lunch companion a birthday cake with a candle. Everything was very good (expensive, however, but that is getting to be the norm).

Food was good, service was rather lackluster. restaurant was very cold inside which made dining uncomfortable. Not on a par with Left Bank at Santana Row. I won't be back.

food was not very good. eggs benecidt had spinach on top of muffin and made it very soggy, hollandaise sauce did not taste good, ham was grey in color, looked like safeway packaged ham..and all was cold. several people ordered this.

I was surprised to see music set up in the big dining room at 6pm. We wanted to talk so sat outside. All servers seemed to be maxed out even though the main dining room was nowhere near full.

The menu is a classic bistro menu and usually just one special. They have perfected the entrees, so all are good choices, depending on your mood. We live in town, so frequent often throughout the years. My only disappointment this time was the lackluster service. Our server was suited more for a diner, and did not have the professionalism of a nice restaurant. I had to wait or get someone else, 3 times for miscellaneous things-a spoon, ordering dessert, checking on our entree, etc. I don't think she had exposure to a nice restaurant, but with proper training, she could improve. It did definitely diminish our experience, unfortunately.

I took my wife to Left Bank and we had mussels and salmon. The salmon and lentils were excellent. We also had a glass of sparkling wine which was very good. My son wanted steak frites so we ordered that to go which he loves. Overall very good experience. We used the inKind app to pay for it for extra savings.
