We were treated so well and the new chef, who is back did an excellent job. Food it like it was when Jean Robert was there. Service was five star, Food was five star, great time.

What a wonderful place to have dinner the food is good. The drinks are fabulous and the chef is outstanding. What’s not to like?

I highly recommend! This is a hidden gem in Cincinnati! Emily, the bartender, truly stood out and made the evening memorable. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, ensuring that every detail of the visit was perfect. Her warm demeanor and expert service elevated the entire experience—she truly did a phenomenal job. The shrimp appetizer was equally phenomenal, with fresh, perfectly seasoned shrimp that set the tone for a wonderful meal. Additionally, the wine selection was impressive, offering a variety of excellent choices that paired beautifully with the dishes. Also, they do offer a non-alcoholic selection! Especially for those that are doing January dry or in general non-drinkers. While I normally wouldn’t order a burger, I decided to try it based on a recommendation, and I’m so glad I did. The burger was absolutely outstanding—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of the best I’ve ever had. It completely exceeded my expectations. From the fantastic food to the impeccable service, everything about the evening was great. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience, and I look forward to returning soon! You will not be disappointed!

Bar à Boeuf has returned to its "Jean-Robert" glory. After a hiatus of about a year or so, the JR trained chef has returned and along with him the quality and delicious flavors that JR left behind. This chef should be more well known in the city, he is so talented and has perfected French cuisine. Everything was perfect and it made for a fantastic New Year's Eve meal.

We had a wonderful late dinner after The Christmas Carol at the Playhouse. The staff is like family having been with Jean Robert for many years. The food was great! They had as a special Dover Sole with a flavorful sauce. I had a fois gras special as a starter that was exceptional. Jean Robert would be proud. I am happy to recommend this restaurant for a great experience and meal.
