Desde su apertura en 1974 este establecimiento ha sido una verdadera institución culinaria en Palo Alto gracias a sus cortes de primera calidad y los deliciosos martinis. Tiene un ambiente de club, y una decoración enriquecida con chimeneas, madera oscura, artículos deportivos de colección y butacas de cuero distribuidas en los numerosos rincones del local. Famoso por sus costillas asadas fuego lento y los filetes cortados a mano calidad USDA, también ofrece pescados y mariscos fresco, y langosta de agua fría. El ribeye de 600 gr. es el favorito del jefe, y el filete mignon doble lo sigue de cerca ocupando el segundo lugar de los platos predilectos. Sundance es reconocido por servir los mejores platillos por el mejor precio en una atmósfera agradable pero simple; es un verdadero oasis para los amantes de la buena comida y cortes finos.
