Cuando el Bascom original llegó a Florida a finales del siglo pasado para ayudar a Henry Flagler a construir el ferrocarril de West Key, trajo con él su amor por las chuletas cortadas gruesas y los filetes jugosos. El Bascom ha traído a todos sus favoritos en en estilo típico norteamericano de Chop House que rinde homenaje al gran apetito del Bascom y su pasión por excelentes filetes, chuletas y mariscos frescos. En su honor, se ha creado el Bascom Chop House, un restaurante estadounidense cómodo y al mismo tiempo elegante. El establecimiento se enorgullece en ofrecer una excelente carta de vinos, cortes de carne del medio oeste nortemaericano añejadas siguiendo las especificaciones del lugar para asegurar los filetes más suaves y sabrosos que se pueden encontrar.
