Delved into the culinary delights of Oak & Vine Cypress Lakes, a hidden gem of the Hunter Valley located on Thompsons Road in Pokolbin. This restaurant offers a discerning diners a meal that quintessentially represents the Hunter Valley, whether you choose to dine alfresco or take in views of the pool and manicured ground or head in side for a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere. Exclusive wines are expertly paired with a twist on Sri Lankan cuisine, such as coconut roti and chilli onion sambal to start, or Ceylon tea smoked duck breast, roasted beetroot emulsion, orange, feta and lemongrass foam. Treat yourself to a sous vide rack of lamb with papadum and curry leaf crust, eggplant moju and sweet tamarind sauce, accompanied by a glass of Margan Cabernet Sauvignon. Set under soaring ceilings with fans languidly circling above, the restaurant and its adjoining terraces are the venues for a relaxed, yet refined a la carte dining experience. Start with drinks by the fireplace in the adjoining lounge or by the courtyard fountain on a balmy summer evening. Guests as well as visitors can enjoy lunch and dinner seven days at Tower Lodge. Drawing fresh local produce from a community of local Hunter Valley producers and growers, as well as from the Hope family’s own Angus cattle farms in the lush green pastures of the Upper Hunter, the menu is a culinary experience of the region best shared with a loved one, or with family and friends around the table.Within view - or easy walking distance - is the kitchen garden where the kitchen and gardening teams tend to a growing section of edibles including herbs greens and native ingredients. Just across the way is a pasture home to the Hope’s own very local Angus cattle.

Foghorn Brewery was born of a dream to make craft beer the way it ought to be made—from grain to glass all under one roof.The historic building in King Street had been abandoned for several years when we first set foot inside. In that dusty old warehouse, we saw the potential to create something really special.And so it was that Newcastle’s first modern craft brewery opened its doors in April 2015. The town’s industrial roots have played a big part in shaping the unique character of Foghorn Brewery. Built from the ground up, this art deco era warehouse with exposed roof trusses now houses a custom 1800 litre brewery.

    The atmosphere at this restaurant is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views overlooking the paddocks at Mount View. The setting strikes a perfect balance between elegance and casual charm, making it a welcoming and comfortable space. Chefs and owners Gabriel and James work their magic both in the kitchen and on the floor, creating a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're planning a romantic dinner for two or a gathering with friends, this is a place I highly recommend. I'll definitely be back soon!

    A hidden Hunter Valley gem. The food is full of flavour and well-presented. Dishes vary from truly spicy to very mild but all good that we tried. Good wine list as well.

    You have the option to sit inside or outside over looking the lake and golf course. We had a group of 10 there wasn’t any table service so had to order food and drinks at the bar and it was very easy and quick and when the food arrived wow it was fantastic everyone was very pleased.

    It has been a long time since we have such an amazing dining experience. Tower restaurant is amazing. Each element that makes for a wonderful dining experience was outstanding. We would not hesitate to recommend Tower Restaurant and look forward to the next time we can return.
