August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and SpainAugust is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch.     Had a great meal the other night. My wife has issues with gluten and most artificial colours flavours and enhancers. It was a great relief to find a restaurant that takes this seriously. Will be back.

    Really lovely , friendly ,accomodating staff. Been here 3 times and same experience every time. Cocktails are amazing. More variety on that menu would be better though.

    Wonderful meal again at Gum Bistro. Sunday lunch at Gum Bistro means welcoming service and great food and drinks. You can't go wrong picking anything on the food and the drinks menu. Our mains were the Fish, Quail and Vegetable Gratin. All beautifully prepared, cooked and tasted fabulous. An extensive drinks list and an extended wine list means you can be sure that anything you feel like drinking is covered. A very enjoyable lunch!

    We got the mixed platter, and it was fantastic. The service was very nice. And we overall enjoyed our experience greatly. This was our best meal so far in Australia

    We went there for my partners birthday, and the service, food and atmosphere was second next to none. Ruby is an absolute superstar behind the bar making cocktails for us and a 21st birthday. We will definitely be back. Thanks Ruby
