Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality. 1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. Our meats are prepared at 1700° on our infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor. All entrées are served with our signature grilled artichoke, and “shared” side dishes are available à la carte along with a tasty dessert selection freshly prepared in-house by our pastry team. Our world-class wine list is designed to match the quality of our food selection, and our professional staff is trained to recommend the perfect wine pairing with your meal.     We had another excellent dining experience at The 1796 Room. This time we brought friends with us from Philadelphia and they agreed they had the best steaks ever! I once again enjoyed the crab cakes. We love the carrots and spinach and got those again. This time we ended our meal with carrot cake. Wow!!! Service was once again outstanding. We look forward to returning again in the future and bringing more friends.

    It’s always a nice experience at Sports and Social. The kids find what they want and the adults too. The tables are a nice size for entertaining a group or an intimate gathering.

    My friend and I had the three branches dinner . It was so delicious! Preceded by a glass of champagne. The host told us the story of the restaurant and the property. The server was excellent. We were stuffed so had no room for dessert. The chef was kind enough to wrap it to go. Worth the trip from Ohiopyle!

    The food variety and choices were wonderful. The service was fantastic! The foods was delicious!! Great desert menu as well. Staff truly enjoyed their meals ands the entertainment!
