Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality. 1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. Our meats are prepared at 1700° on our infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor.     We started our evening at the 1855 Lounge. It’s a beautiful venue with high level cocktails and scotch. Great way to start! Walked over to Lionne next door and had an amazing dinner. Enjoyed delicious lobster bisque, a traditional NLI flavor. Our entree was beautifully browned scallops, black rice with light raisins for a little sweet, tiny tomatoes and spicy micro greens. We were very impressed with both the great flavors and original presentation. The dessert we chose was a yummy chocolate cake with fresh fruit, sherbet and lemon cream. It was truly a great dinner at a new venue that didn’t disappoint at all!

    My friend and I had the three branches dinner . It was so delicious! Preceded by a glass of champagne. The host told us the story of the restaurant and the property. The server was excellent. We were stuffed so had no room for dessert. The chef was kind enough to wrap it to go. Worth the trip from Ohiopyle!

    The food variety and choices were wonderful. The service was fantastic! The foods was delicious!! Great desert menu as well. Staff truly enjoyed their meals ands the entertainment!
