El Freemasons at Wiswell sirve comida fabulosa en un entorno rural elegante y relajado. Está ubicado en la localidad de Wiswell (también conocida como "la caja de bombones"), cerca de Clitheroe, en el pintoresco Ribble Valley. Se reformó y se volvió a abrir en el verano de 2009 y ahora ofrece un ambiente hogareño para una clientela fiel. Tiene suelo de piedra, paredes de colores suaves tradicionales, alfombras y muebles antiguos y cuadros e ilustraciones de época que crean un ambiente elegante y cómodo. El bar ofrece una excelente selección de cervezas de barril tradicionales de cervecerías independientes galardonadas y más de 250 vinos magníficos de todo el mundo. La comida es su punto fuerte. El chef y propietario Steven Smith ha creado un menú único y diverso que se adapta perfectamente al estilo y el ambiente. Es una verdadera experiencia gastronómica.

Showcasing the best of the produce from the farm, which includes organic slow-reared pork and raw milk, and utilising the seasonal bounty that can be found in the surrounding hedgerows and countryside, Eight at Gazegill reconnects guests to nature through the food. Our Brunch, All-Day and Sunday Lunch menus are suitable for all, while our Friday and Saturday evening Tasting Menu offers a more grown up experience. We also have specifically designed menus which are suitable to be eaten on our outside terrace area where the addition of a large purpose-built playground makes this the perfect location for families to enjoy the sunshine.

This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this. Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. Really enjoyed our delicious food, I had the soufflé, which was soo tasty and then the sea bass which was full of flavour, I was so full I couldn’t manage a sweet. The staff looked after us and the bar area where we were sat was lovely and warm next to the fire, very cosy, especially with all the Christmas lights.

2nd time we have been for lunch and it was exceptional each time. Definitely our kind of dining, everything about ‘Eight’ is superb. The food is fresh, tasteful and so very well presented. There definitely will be more than a 3rd visit for us! Added bonus is looking at the beautiful animals

Great place, staff attentive and friendly. Very classy decor. Food was to a very high standard, though I do think charging an extra £7 to only receive 3 prawns on my curry was a bit excessive.
