Located just a stone's throw from the Hôtel de Ville and the Marais district, Le Coupe Gorge restaurant, with its antique parquet flooring, dressed stonework and red velvet banquettes, exudes the flavour of old Paris and the pleasures of fine dining. The restaurant was founded in 1895 on rue de la Coutellerie, a street that owes its name to the many active cutlers. Its current name is more recent, no doubt due to the offbeat humour of one of its previous owners! After meeting in the Tunisian village of Sousse, where their grandmothers were neighbours, Alexis and Alexandre decided to unite their roots around a restaurant: Mabrouk - the new Tunisian temple in the Haut Marais, with its thousand-year-old traditions from the East and its reinvention of typical and emblematic dishes. With its large sunny terrace and beautiful turquoise blue shop window, it's impossible to miss.
