His butchers typical cheeky sense of humour now lives on through his grandchildren along with his knowledge of butchery.In 1997 Leonard’s grandson Richard opened The Station Inn, which quickly generated a great reputation for quality steak. An excellent Christmas day menu, lovely food and good service. I attended with my 93 year old mum and disabled brother, who both told me they really enjoyed their experience. We have used the restaurant several times before, usually for larger family get togethers. Always good and we will continue to use. Recommended for any occasion.

Smart, comfortable and spacious bar and dining areas. Staff were excellent and it warm and inviting. It was Christmas Eve so, understandably, busy and a little too noisy for me. The food was very good although the choice mains was perhaps underwhelming for the quality of the venue. Our table was a tad sticky - not enough to complain about but table prep needs to be more thorough. There were three of us, one sat on a fitted sofa style seat, the other two seated at chairs. These weren’t the most comfortable - would have preferred chairs with arms. However, our overall experience was good.

Great good and atmosphere. One small gripe,i love dogs, have 3 of our own,and dog friendly pubs I just don't want dogs around when I am eating.
