Founded in 2014 in Chicago by cousins Jared Rouben (Brewmaster) and Jeremy Cohn (CEO), Moody Tongue is built on the philosophy of culinary brewing, appealing to those with a discerning palate or, as Rouben describes, a "moody tongue." A great experience! I found this place on google. I chose it based on reviews and how close it was to home. I was celebrating my birthday. The food and drinks were good. The volume was a tad bit too loud but it wasn’t anything to bring up as a complaint. Would definitely come again!

Food quality and choices are exceptional. Everything was unique with tons of flavor. The Gumbo, short rib, pork steak and mac and cheese are all divine. The service was mostly reasonable. The staff are all exceptionally nice but our drinks came after our food, we had to ask multiple times for refills. We ordered family style, which was great, but the food arrived and we had no individual plates to serve the food and had to flag someone down to get them. Overall I highly recommend it but for the price I would expect better attention to detail from the staff. I will go back because the food is that good!

Very sexy, relaxed vibe that transports you to another place. Drinks are phenomenal and the food is explosive with flavors yet presented simply. The sea bass used in the ceviche and tostada is sublime and the chicken empanadas were very flavorful. Highly recommend!
