Had Xmas Eve dinner at RP and was lovely. Attentive service, varied menu and everything was delicious.

We had a Christmas Eve dinner at the Copper Grouse. The drink and dinner choices were varied and we each saw a number of items we would enjoy. The cheese board was tasty as was the arancini appetizer. Portions were very healthy and the sides were all delicious and well prepared. We wound up sharing bites amongst the table and everyone was stuffed when we finished. Service was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant had a good vibe. Only negative is, being in a hotel, there was a mix of kids watching videos on their ipads and couples out for a pre-holiday dinner. We have eaten here before and would definitely come back.

Attentive staff. Great drinks and the food is always delicious. Can’t lose here, a total gem.

Maya had a sweater that looked just like the woman at the table next to us. It was very funny but she didn’t want to take a picture with the other woman. We had a lot of fun and the food was amazing.

There’s: •Flannel-clad Brandon, who’s always “just stopping in for a coffee” but stays for three hours. •Jessica with the dog, who orders her pup a side of bacon (and no one judges her). •And Devon, who tells stories that may or may not be ghost lore but are absolutely mesmerizing. The food? Amazing. The vibe? Immaculate. The vibe while eating the food? Next level. Whether you’re devouring a pizza or sipping on something infused with elderflower, JJ Hapgood makes you feel like you’re part of the town. For one night, you’re not just a visitor; you’re a Vermonter who knows all about sugaring season and what time the plow goes by. JJ Hapgood isn’t just a tavern. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a vibe.
