The 1740 General Stanton Inn was named best new restaurant in Southern Rhode Island. The Inn is rich in history having hosted George Washington and three US Presidents. The Inn was a stagecoach stop, underground railroad safehouse and an illicit gambling house in the roaring 1920's.
