Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. Once more another visit to the best restaurant for miles around. Once more another triumph for Piccalinos Wilmslow. Lotis Madonna the manager and his lovely sidekick Chiara were on hand to greet our arrival with their usual charm wit and kindness. It was my birthday so we got an extra fuss made. Food was superb service spot on. Plates and food hot. My son and I wanted the Waghu Lasagne but it is so popular it was sold out. A tip. When booking request it at the time when you book. My wife and can’t wait to return and are aghast when we read criticisms of Piccalinos. Which planet are they from? I think they must be employed by other restaurants to write such rubbish as it’s the only way they can compete. Well done Piccalinos. You’re the best . Keep up the good work. Clive

It was 23/12 at lunchtime- food was really good- not too many in at 1 but it got really lively later- definitely go back
