The restaurant boast some wonderful bespoke ironwork along with a vintage industrial feel . The InnThe Inn is full of old world charm with little hidden nucks for dining. This restaurant is full of character and is used at lunch times primarily, but in the evenings, it offers a cosy ambiance lit by candle light ideal for a more casual approach to dining.The Inn also offers an afternoon tea which is simply divine.     A lovely evening of food and drink at the Cavendish Arms. The food is always good, when I’m not driving the cocktails are well worth it Service is excellent, friendly and welcoming. Being relatively local and my kids having gone to school in Cartmel this is definitely our favourite place to eat and drink.

    Lovely meals, however would have been 5 stars if the veg had been hot. Also we had the food brought to table but had to ask for cutlery. All that said it was still very nice and we would definitely go again.

    We both chose the set menu. 3 courses with good options was excellent value for money. The prawn cocktail was particularly good. The highlight was the sticky toffee dessert which I can honestly say is the best I have ever had. Choices for the main course were not overly exciting but beautifully presented. I opted for the haddock served in a cheese sauce which I enjoyed. The service was excellent, friendly but non intrusive. The dining room was full yet we were served promptly and made to feel welcome. The dining room itself is a special treat overlooking the lake.

    Amazing food, drinks, and incredibly friendly waiters and bar staff always being polite and welcoming. We had a lovely meal and would definitely go back
