Great birthday dinner. Service was excellent as well as the food

Did the sunset dinner for a birthday and it was great. Sun (well clouds) was still setting s we entered. Good drinks (Washington Manhattan) and first courses followed by the ginger prawns and flank steak with generous servings and no rush. Creme brulette was perfect to cap off the early evening and the sweet birthday card and candle to blow out were nice finishing touches.

Hands down the best sea scallops we have ever eaten anywhere. Ditto for the cod. Our server was so nice and the atmosphere was lovely -- quiet with a nice view of the marina and bay (although at night it is harder to see the view). The apple martini was a tad sweet but otherwise delicious. We shared the mussels as an appetizer and it was plenty for three, and very delicious. Our sweet teeth were amply satisfied with the creme brûlée and the bread pudding. The meal was pricey -- over $300.00 for three people including a 20% tip. But everything costs a lot more now. It was delicious and pleasant and everyone had a lovely time.

Restaurant was packed Christmas Eve. Our waiter, Kody, although incredibly busy, managed to make us feel he was paying attention. He was professional and friendly- and the food was very good.

Using Open Table to get on the list is perfect for weekend nights when places tend to be more busy during peak times. Our meal was great, our server was amazing, very friendly, very attentive, and you don't always get that anymore. My only complaint about this particular location is that it needs a serious table and seating remodel! Our booth's vinyl was peeling, the table had a lot of chips in it, and we have sat in other booths that have had vinyl peeling or holes in it. During the down time of Covid would have been a great time to do that like many other places did. But I'm guessing that they are also still trying to recover from the financial losses as well. I hope their corporate office does them a solid and gets that taken care of soon. Otherwise, our night was great!
