The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. It’s the perfect way to spend a leisurely afternoon with friends.Please note that all visitors will be directed to our car park located across the bridge and a shuttle will be provided. First time having afternoon tea which I received as a birthday gift and it was fabulous. The food, setting service and overall experience was amazing would definitely recommend

Beautiful spot for food, would highly recommended. Really good menu with loads of choice. Mussels were divine aswell as the goats cheese.

We arrived late but the host was fine about it. Lovely man had a laugh with us. He (John) took our order let us try the 2 sauces as we were not sure which one to order. He was a very polite and pleasant man. The place was lovely except it was cold we didn’t take out jackets off. And the radiators were off. They bring out a deserts as it was one of my friends Brady and they all sang it was a very lovely evening. It was steak night and the value for money was amazing. The food was delicious. We had ordered 3 fillet steaks but they ran out so my other friend had the sirloin. All steaks were cooked to perfection Will definitely recommend and we be going back again
