The story of St Andrews Beach Brewery dates back to the early 2000’s, when our Co-founder Andrew Purchase built the racetrack on the property for the royal family of Australian horse racing – the Freedman Brothers. When the property became available in 2015, Andrew and Michael Freedman saw an opportunity that was too good to miss. With the infrastructure in place and with a story like no other, Andrew, Michael and their passionate team of co-owners set about turning the former stables into a truly unique brewery.Before you book a stable in our one of a kind refurbished stables, please note the following; Stable bookings can seat groups from 5-20 and for a maximum of 3 hours. If you are unable to book at your preferred time all of our reserved seating is booked. I must say that I have been to this place several times and enjoyed the relaxed coastal vibe it has. This is largely due to the location which overlooks the Anglesea river, but also the old weatherboard building and covered veranda that comprise it. This makes it ideal to enjoy some of the yummy food, largely geared towards sharing, and accompanied by a refreshing drink. On Sundays there is the bonus of catching some fine local music as well, which on our visit featured the laidback tunes of the Beachniks. Now that is exactly how I would want to spend every Sunday afternoon.

I had beef cheeks as a main meal and it was delicious. The pale ale beer was very good from the craft brewery.
