Our vineyard was originally part of the George Hunter Estate, established in the 1970s. Today, our Semillon, Shiraz, and Merlot vines are all that remain of this once sprawling 500-acre estate.We're proud to honour the legacy of James Busby, the proud Scot known as the father of Australian wine. Busby brought 500 cuttings from Europe to Australia and planted them in the Hunter region of Belford, not far from Lovedale.At Saltire Estate, we're committed to providing great quality wine at an affordable price.     Everything was absolutely fantastic! The only slight downfall was the garlic bread coming out roughly 10 seconds before the mains did. So it went to waste unfortunately. But still highly recommended!

    The restaurant was prefect for dinner The location was beautiful and the food was great, topped off by wonderful waitresses who were very welcoming and made the experience worthwhile Some little extras were thrown in to try which made it feel special I should also mention the bottle wine prices were so reasonable $25 onwards so very affordable Great night - well done eco Chef and staff

    The staff were fantastic, very helpful and attentive and informed about the menu and wines It was best service we had in the Hinter Valley restaurants.
