We recently dined at Salted Egg in the Quincy Hotel, Melbourne, opting for their $69 Tasting Menu. The experience was exceptional. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the food was a delightful journey through Southeast Asian flavors. The Tasting Menu featured four courses, allowing us to sample a variety of dishes. Each course was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the chef’s expertise in blending traditional and modern culinary techniques. The portions were generous, ensuring we left fully satisfied. The ambiance of Salted Egg added to the overall enjoyment, providing a comfortable and inviting setting for our meal. We attended prior to a concert at Marvel Stadium. We booked ahead( a straight forward process using the website) and arrived slightly early. The place was busy but extremely organised and well staffed. Our orders were delivered promptly and the food was exactly as described. We therefore had a stress free and pleasant dinner leaving in plenty of time for our concert. It is not the place for an intimate dinner and chat, but ideal if you want good food presented on time and with efficient and friendly service.
