We have one major focus: the popular German street food - schnitzel. We also have wursts made by local German meat market legend, Binkert's (Rosedale, MD). Other partnerships include a Black Forest Ice Cream Sandwich by Scoop & Paddle (Clarksville, MD).We use fresh meats and vegetables, never frozen. The pretzels are made by hand by an Army vet who learned to make pretzels in Germany after his service. The sauces are made from scratch. Our cocktail program features both popular and obscure German spirits. The wine program consists of small-production family-owned wineries in Germany and Austria. Beer offerings include a healthy diet of imported German beers and local breweries who make German-style brews.     What a delightful and home-like experience in a historic setting! The young waitstaff are delightful and personable. Chef Dan even come out to greet the guests. He is a great conversationalist and very knowledgeable about the property’s history.

    The food was outstanding and even though several in my group had not been to The Ratheskeller before, they were already planning when to go back so they could try other things, too.

    Great historic location and enjoyed brunch menu items. Service was great and food arrived quickly. A little loud but seated next to large party (10 adults). Portions were smaller than expected but adequate. Quality and delicious food.

    My co-worker and I came here to celebrate her birthday. She's been wanting to come here for a long time and she and I weren't disappointed. Our server was very informative and helpful with everything. His suggestions were spot on to our likings. He really knew his stuff. We're planning on coming back with the rest of our crew for a Girlfriends Outing really soon. This is a really great spot to hang out after work or on the weekend.
