The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. Fantastic service and a wonderful menu . Staff brilliant , friendly and attentive . Wonderful choice of options even for vegetarian and vegans . Loved the mini desert choice to end . Would definitely eat there again , I had the Turkey and ham which was plentiful and others had salmon , steak and duck and all tasteful, beautifully presented and wonderful accompaniments
