The man at the door, the host, was outright rude. I’m not sure what his issue was, but from the moment I arrived, I could sense some kind of attitude. I got there just four minutes before my reservation, and the restaurant was nearly empty. Yet, he made me wait those four minutes in the doorway, not seating me until exactly 6:15. The table he gave me was against a banquette, and he simply pulled the chair out across the table. Not wanting my back to be to the entire restaurant while I waited for my partner, I opted to sit on the banquette. I had to pull the heavy table away from the banquette and squeeze myself in, all without any help from him. He just scowled and, after a moment, asked me what kind of water I wanted. When we finished our meal, we paid our bill and might’ve lingered for about 7-8 minutes before he showed up and said “Come on, guys, we have people waiting.” That’s not the kind of vibe you want on a date night. The scallops were delicious, but I won’t be coming back. The overall experience just wasn’t welcoming.

Wonderful experience at Laboratorio Kitchen! Food and service are top-notch. We started with house-made burrata cheese puttanesca, fig and gorgonzola crostini, shrimp arrabiata, and house-made ravioli, and we couldn't be happier. No wonder those dishes are the most popular and recommended in almost every single review. You have to try it to believe it. Day Boat Scallops were the star of the evening. The combination of flavors is just unbelievable. All the dishes were small size, which made it easy to share, which allowed us to enjoy the exceptional flavors of all. Will definitely come back for more! Highly recommend!

The food was just not good. Wife had risotto with crab. Came out with cold crab on top of the dish. I complained to the manager who told me the crab was just a garnish so they put it on cold. Then he brought over some sautéed crab on the side, and then took the dish off the bill. All very strange. Besides the crab being cold and likely canned, the dish itself was bland and rather tasteless. I had a pasta dish that was also not good. Pasta with lobster. A tiny lobster claw which was tough. Pasta they told me was homemade, but really seemed boxed. Overall not good food at all, at a high price.

Outstanding as always. So happy they are now open Tuesdays when we are in town. The meatball and King salmon reign.
