Abierta desde 1939, La Taverne es el principal restaurante de cortes de carne y mariscos en Colorado Springs. El programa Creekstone Farms es único en la industria de carne, ya que garantiza que la carne esté libre de hormonas y antibióticos, que sea de ganado con una alimentación 100% vegetariana y que sea de ganado 100% Black Angus USDA de primera calidad. La Taverne at The Broadmoor Hotel is great for an upscale but casual evening out. We celebrated our anniversary there, and it was a special evening. There was a singer/guitarist entertaining guests with Christmas music at just the right volume. The entree selection was varied, and the food was very good. I would say it was not exceptional, but definitely very good. The service, though, was truly exceptional. Highly recommend for an overall lovely experience. Be sure to stroll through the hotel and grounds before or after, especially during the Christmas season.

Our server Guillermo was exceptional! The BEST trained staff we have ever encountered - by far. Food was 5-Star. New December tradition for my wife and me!

Very Disappointing! oysters were fresh, flavorful but small. Over $5.00 each. Ceaser salad was Good with Anchovies and Wonderful Dressing. Scallops were cooked Perfectly with Wonderful sauce. The Prime Rib came highly recommended. I ordered the smaller cut. It was tough, hard to cut with the steak knife provided. When I told the waitress how disappointed I was, didn’t eat even half of it, she offered a free desert “To make up for the Prime Rib”. Most Restaurants would have sent the Manager over and taken off the bill. To make matters worse there was a couple with two loud children, one screeching, which echoed and was so irritating. Hoping to have an excellent dinner and evening our last night at the Broadmoor, Soooo very Disappointing. I would NEVER return to this Restaurant!

Understand that this restaurant is located in one of the greatest resorts in the United States. This restaurant does not lessen that reputation. Great food, great service--Did I mention great food. Do your self a favor. When they have completed remodeling the Penrose Room, spend two nights at the Broadmoor- Eat at the Tavern , head to the Golden Bee after and the next nite eat at the Penrose Room. Baring a wallet with a sense of humor.

We had lunch at La Taverne with our one-year-old who has several food allergies. Our server, Emily, went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of the whole time. She brought special bread for him and even surprised him with a dessert after our lunch. He was so happy he could fully participate in the meal and had so many treats! Beyond her special care of our son, she was attentive throughout the whole meal, friendly, and so kind. And, the food was delicious! We will for sure be back!

This is our third time eating at La Taverne. First 2 times just fabulous. This time was a huge disappointment.

We have been to La Taverne many times and always had wonderful service but this time was the absolute worst! We had reservations but were treated like we were a bother. We kindly asked to move tables at first cause they sat us at this teeny tiny table and was not comfortable to sit in, the lady looked upset I was asking to move. Our waiter was nice but gave us horrible service, it took almost 2 hours to finish our entire meal. Everything from bread to dessert took forever and they never checked in on us. The table next to us got sat down, served and finished before our meal was out and we didn’t have any crazy meal as it was just my husband and I. We ordered the mushroom bolognese which was delicious but waiting that long. The mangers would look at us and walk right by and they even saw how long we had been there, we looked totally bored by the end of the meal and could not leave fast enough. Our waiter took forever to bring us our check but made sure to pick up the money as fast as he could, that was the fastest part of the night. I am so disappointed in the service we received that my husband and I aren’t sure if we will dine here again. We loved La Taverne in the past but this time was so different and not the amazing service we always receive.
