J. Gilbert's es una churrasquería de ambiente exclusivo y distendido que sirve carne de res añejada de primera calidad al horno de leña. Se sirve carne de diversos tipos, marisco fresco (incluyendo pasteles de cangrejo de calidad galardonada) y otras especialidades de la casa, como las papas fritas Maytag Bleu.     I got the filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The filet was good. Not the best I’ve had but definitely tasty and I’d get it again. I added the blue cheese butter and that was worth it. The mashed potatoes were good. I wasn’t expecting to like them as much. They were very creamy. The asparagus was not my favorite. It had a very smoky flavor that I didn’t like. I wish I subbed that for the wedge salad like my husband did for an additional cost. My husband got the Kansas City Strip and he said it was his favorite steak he has had in a long time. He also enjoyed the smoked old fashioned. I enjoyed the velvet chocolate cake. I think it should be called chocolate mousse because it did not taste like cake but I liked that and the server let us know. I like the raspberry ice cream paired with it. We will definitely be coming back. The service was great too. It was NYE and we did not feel rushed to leave and enjoyed every part of our experience!

    We have been to J Gilberts for New Year's Eve for the past 6 years. We always had a great experience in the past. This year was anything but. My prime rib was tough and my wife's filet was way over cooked and Dry. The sides we had always enjoyed were also not the quality they had been. Looks like we will be looking for a different New years Eve spot.

    They have recently changed their menu and dramatically raised prices… if you go, go for the happy hour! It is a way better value.

    Was our first time there, Chase was our server and was outstanding! Food and atmosphere was top notch !! We will be coming back :)

    My steak was well flavored but the quality of the cut for a bone in rib-eye was tough and not tender. I made it known they said they would tell the chef. Hope the next steak I get there meets a better quality.

    Have been there multiple times. The quality of the food has diminished. My husband ordered a medium rare steak and it was well done. I ordered king crab legs as an addition to my steak. I didn’t even get one solid crab leg. Instead I revived a small plate of broken up bits of crab leg scraps. Was then shocked when the price for said crab legs (in addition to my steak) were $65. I could had drastically better crab legs at Red Lobster for less. Very disappointed especially as we were there for our anniversary

    First of all, this is our second time to dine here. I rather forget the first time we ate at this place, because of circumstances. But this time around, it was excellent all around. We do not mind paying the price because it is Christmas after all. I did not get the name of our server but he was excellent. I asked my risotto rice not have that half cooked rice which is prevalent on some "healthy" restaurants, he said their risotto rice will be really cooked and delicious. And it was...My lobster tails were excellent too...everything are really good. Our server wasn't obstrusive at all. He just passed by once to check if everything is OK. I asked my husband if I can take care of giving him a good tip.
