                                                    The food served at the lunch buffet was ok, it was nothing special. I was expecting more from the Fairmont. The small dinning area was starting to look dated and tired looking. For the price charged you can do better elsewhere.

                                                    Excellent beer and wine. Service and atmosphere wonderful. The octopus and scallops is scrumptious! The elk steak and bucatini are amazing. Our only disappointment was the "hot chocolate cake with mousse". NOT cake at all, but mousse looking like a "hot chocolate" made of mousse. And NOT hot!

                                                    Must have had a new server. The service was slow. No jams or cream was offered as a takeaway for the scones we took home. Would still go back. Just not the Fairmont Experience we’re used to.

                                                    We attended the Nutcracker afternoon tea in the Harvest Room. Everything was exceptional - food, service, atmosphere. I highly recommend the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald for dining.

                                                    We had a wonderful Nutcracker tea at the Harvest Room. The scones were amazing as were the sandwiches. There was so much food we had to take the desserts home in a box for later! One improvement would be to ask us if our tea needed to be refreshed. After the third cup, the brew was pretty weak.
