First time there , had brunch. Food and service were great. Would love to come back for dinner. Does seem to get very busy so reservations are always good!

Delicious food and atmosphere!! They went out of their way to make it a special anniversary celebration for us. Our server Harry was attentive , fun and gave great recommendations! Made it all a memorable night with the gardens being a bonus!

We had a great experience. The 9 year old with us made a special request on her burger and I server went out of his way to accommodate! He was great and friendly and took care of everything we needed. I just wish he would have offered to-go cups with water. I saw him bringing some out to others and wish we would have asked or that he would have asked if we wanted some.

The lentil dish was very tasty. Wish it had been prepared without salt! Noodles were great. Again very salty! Humberger with fries was perfect!

Ah, the sheer delight of savoring the Gertie Burger at Gertrude's, a true treasure nestled in the heart of the Valley. A culinary symphony of an 8 oz patty, Swiss cheese, mushroom duxelles, house steak sauce, and a fresh bun, adorned with crisp lettuce, red onion, and tomato. A veritable feast for the senses, accompanied by fingerling potatoes and a house-made pickle. An absolute must-try, my dear. Just remember, reservations are indeed essential to secure your spot in this gastronomic haven.

Have not been to the Desert Botanical Garden for awhile but always try to enjoy a meal or at least a drink and snack at Gertrude's. They have expanded the menu, which was needed for those who frequent the restaurant. I had the Lamb Mole Enchiladas, which looked as fabulous as they tasted. The mole was perfect with a deep, savory chocolate sauce. My friend had the Lentil Chop that was beautifully plated with varying textures, very lightly dressed. The wait staff is experienced and gracious. We were fortunate to have a server who has been with the cafe since it opened. Book well in advance. Everyone loves this place.

We made a meal of appetizers. The Gorgonzola and garlic was amazing! Everything was wonderful - including the freshly made donut desert.
