First time to Gauchos we had the £30 anniversary meal for 3 courses and it was very good value for money. Lovely staff and excellent wine - would definitely recommend even though it would have been more expensive a la carte all the food they brought out looked superb.

Food excellent, service excellent, only comment we had was the price of the green salad which was not worth the money! Otherwise cannot fault anything we had a fantastic meal!

Had my 30th birthday dinner here, We Waited almost 1 hours plus for food, food came and was mixed up. Asked for water for more than 3 times Service was slow

The major letdown was the service. Apart from the warm welcome, the attention to detail from the staff was below par. The restaurant seemed short-staffed, it took 10-15 minutes for our waiter to come over once we sat down. We didn't even have the drinks menu on the table until we asked. We initially came for the taster menu but then switch the their full menu instead. Our wine arrived after our starter had been. We also had to pour our own wine & water which when you are paying premium prices at a high-end restaurant you would expect this to be catered for as a minimum. The food was delicious however we ordered two steaks as medium rare, one ended up being rare whilst the other was medium to well done. Again for a restaurant that prides itself on steaks, this should be something that shouldn't be an issue. Our cutlery wasn't changed post the starter and neither were we offered steak knives which again seems to be common offering at other venues like this. It is a nice setup but needs the service and attention to detail to live up to the prices being charged.
