Gaucho is heating things up in the mountains! Gauchos are the cowboys of South America – a national symbol of pride and tradition. The residents of Rio Grande do Sul, a Brazilian state, are affectionately referred to as “Gauchos”. This state, renowned for its unique churrasco barbecue, is the birthplace of Chef Edmilson Rodrigues.

Warm up after a day outdoors with authentic Churrasco - Brazilian barbecue, or indulge anytime in the bold tastes, flavours and fun of Rodizio -all-you-care-to-enjoy dining.     If you are eating keto, you will love this place. It is one price ($65 each, I believe) for all you can eat meat, cooked like Brazilian BBQ, along with some very nice salads and other sides. I enjoyed everything I ate, and we ate a lot! It is a hurried experience, as the hot swords of meat are rushed from table to table so that you receive the meat hot. And you get a small portion each time so that you can enjoy the variety. It is a different dining experience but worth a try.

    Another really good experience at Gauchos in Canmore. It's been a favourite of mine over the years, but I had a new customer with me this time and they were also impressed. Booking was easy, and the staff were attentive but never hassled even though we stayed longer than usual. The meat were on the mark last night and came round at a really good pace so as not to appear rushed or too far apart.

    Amazing food - variety was great and temperatures were perfect and nothing was dry or overcooked. The salads were all amazing and they have a nice, inexpensive selection of wines (and amazing looking cocktails). The staff are all phenomenal - very attentive and fun! Our go-to place.

    What a unique and fantastic experience! The food was incredible, the servers and host were very friendly, ambiance was wonderful. Perfect place for a special date night.

    Excellent experience last night! The food was delicious. All meat offerings were flavourful and cooked beautifully. We like our beef rare and did not expect it to be offered that way but there was ample opportunity to enjoy beef cooked to everyone’s preference. The sides were also delicious especially the mashed potatoes and Açai slaw. Our server, Alex was friendly and great at providing just the right amount of attention to our table. The value, especially at today’s food prices was excellent as meat and side choices were unlimited within the two hour dining period. We were too full for dessert but enjoyed the grilled pineapple to finish the meal. Would highly recommend this restaurant for people who enjoy the chance to taste a variety of flavourful meat -fourteen offerings in all.

    We had a wonderful dining experience at Gaucho. The staff were incredibly family and truly do treat you like ‘family.’ The food was delicious, it was fun to try so many different dishes. Would highly recommend eating here.
