It features a double vaulted arched ceiling with Italian blown glass chandeliers. Commissioned pieces of 'wine art' by eclectic artist Ron Genta grace the gallery walls. It's the perfect place to gather with business associates or family and friends. There is comfortable seating for up to 36 guests all at one table. We had a dinner reservation for 2, directed to our table and found 1 menu. Ordered house salad, drenched in dressing and soggy. Ordered coffee after meal and it was cold. Obviously server poured old coffee and never checked. Ordered a keoki coffee and she didn’t know the drink, checked with bartender, and told us twice she was working on it, we finally decided to cancel the keoki coffee. In fairness, the restaurant is understaffed. But the high prices do not justify the poor food quality. Much better dining experiences in town. We try to support local Kailua businesses and thought we would try Formaggio since it’s been awhile since we last dined there. Hugh disappointment. Sadly, we won’t return.

Lovely atmosphere. Service was great, food yummy…highlight is the live music. Brant is enjoyable. Made a great night.

We made a reservation that was confirmed and when we arrived we were turned away because the kitchen closed before our arrival even though we were allowed to make the reservation

Outstanding Italian Grill with a live band and great bar atmosphere. The food and service were excellent. Met the owner and there were many locals enjoying their evening. Short but reasonably priced wine list, with a little more than a dozen selections. The rigatoni with local pork in a crème tomato sauce was excellent. I will definitely come back again!

Haven’t been here in a couple years, but very good service great atmosphere wasn’t busy at all and had live music. Food was super good. Good choice of wine.

The food was very good. I was able to actually make a reservation on the day of the event. There was nice Hawaiian music playing from a local band up until about 8:30 or 9 o’clock. Our waiter was good. The only drawback was that my one request Was to have them sing happy birthday to my boyfriend. They brought out a piece of tiramisu with a candle in it and he said we don’t sing happy birthday and walked off sing happy birthday to myself and all in all I look forward to going back. It’s very hard to find a place where you can book reservations online Here in Kailua for that reason they’ve won my business.

I love coming to Formaggio! My parents live out in Kaneohe. We first came for Christmas a couple of years ago and come back every time I'm out here visiting. I really like the chicken parmesean. We had the crispy calamari on this visit and it was great!
