Overall, the restaurant exceeded my expectations as a first time diner. The food was as described on the menu. The beetroot risotto with seared scallops was delicious. The crème brûlée was the best of any I’ve had from any restaurant in the area! I will go back just for that. Waiting staff was attentive. It was a great dinner experience.

Love the place. They sat us in a nice booth. I only gave it four stars for overall because we didn’t really order any of the entrees . We just got the seafood tower with the shareable side and dessert. Flemings does a really nice job and our waiter was fantastic.

Valentine’s dinner at Fleming’s Birmingham felt more like a crowded production than a special occasion. I had the bone-in ribeye with sides, and my wife had the scallops special—both delicious. However, we were seated in the overflow room, which was packed and excessively loud, rather than the main dining area. The atmosphere didn’t match the $400 price tag, with many guests dressed in sweatpants, reeking of marijuana, and resembling a rap video. While not the restaurant’s fault, enforcing a dress code and limiting capacity would elevate the experience. That said, our server was fantastic, and the food was excellent.

The steak was overcooked and not tender. A steakhouse has one job. The service was excellent though.
