Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Ever since then, we have been serving popovers and tea.Please note: Reservations may be made for inside dining only. Due to weather variability, we are unable to accommodate reservations for the lawn.     We had reservations on a Monday night due to the high demand because of the Christmas Pop up. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. People were taking walking around the taking pictures throughout the restaurant. We were sat at our table right away. Our waitress was very nice. We started with Garlic Knots which we both liked. I had the Bolognese which I enjoyed very much. My girlfriend had the braised short ribs which she also enjoyed. If you can get reservations we both recommend it.

    Super fun girls' night out. Loved the vibe. Food and service were both excellent. Music and conversation are noisy so be prepared. Will come again!

    It took a month to get in and it was worth it. I had frequented the pond house when I was young (35 yrs ago) and I had been wanting to get back. It was as good as I remember. Staff got us in earlier than our reservation time, waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and the popovers and jam are the best I’ve had! Definitely worth the visit/experience.
