First time at Goldfinch and will definitely be back. First the staff accommodated us with a seating earlier than our reservation. We ate at the counter which was lively and fun. Great bartender who made me one of the best Paper Planes I’ve had. From there we had a delicious salad and then the hanger steak entree and both we excellent. A very enjoyable evening and look forward to returning soon.

We’ve been several times… but we love introducing this restaurant to friends. We always bring someone new with us. The food is spot on, the cocktails are amazing and the service is always excellent!

Food was outstanding. Some really interesting and inventive dishes. We both kept remarking, "Wow...I've never tasted anything quite like this!"...so that was very exciting. 5 Stars for the food...quality, taste, execution, presentation, thoughtfulness of preparation. The dining room is really lovely and comfortable. Noise level was low, so it was easy to have a normal conversation, which we appreciated. Sometimes restaurants can be too loud and this one wasn't...so points for figuring out the right acoustics! The only criticism had to do with the waitstaff. First, there are way too many servers on the floor...they were racing around and sometimes (literally) bumping into each other. It created a bit of a chaotic feel in the background. Also, the servers were a bit too interactive and tried to be conversational and "jokey", rather than just being pleasant and focusing on the dining experience. Everyone was friendly enough, but they lacked a little polish/professionalism in their interactions, particularly for a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, the experience was good and the food really was amazing. We will go back and will also recommend to friends. It's on the high-end of dining experiences, so perfect for a special occasion.

Excellent! We had the seafood stew, Shrimp Louie, tomato soup, and cheesy bread. So yummy! Loved the crushed ice in the drinks too.

Gem of a restaurant and bar in Sebastopol. Love the interior and consistently good service.
