At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner. The interior of the restaurant is natural brick and the couple have chosen a rich color palette of deep blues and greens for the walls. Outside on the spacious patio, a magnificent redwood tree provides natural shade to the built in seating area and plants are abundant creating a lush, garden setting. What a gem! Excellent service, calm ambiance allowed the dining experience to shine. The food was presented so beautifully and simply that the dining experience was a treat.

We had a choice to sit outside or inside - I think either would have been lovely but we chose outside and sat around the fire table - between the fire table, heat lamp and cozy blankets, the temperature was perfect even on a somewhat chilly night and you could not beat the wonderful atmosphere. It was our first time here but will not be the last.

food was great, and the view and ambience are unbeatable, and our server was very nice, but the service was extremely slow but I will go back again because they've just reopened under new management and they have a good menu as well.
