The menu is based on serving only the best products available freshly prepared daily, at realistic prices, in an informal relaxed "friends and family" atmosphere. We were quietly celebrating a good friend’s birthday and drove from Colchester to eat at this beautiful restaurant. The interior is magical with its hanging lights and cavernous dining hall. The food is 100% vegetarian and vegan and so, as vegetarians, we could choose anything from the menu in comfort. One of our diners has a gluten intolerance and the waiter advised us, knowledgeably, about the appropriateness of each item ordered. The food was wonderful! We shared a mixed starter and all commented on the quality. The main dishes were fresh; the dosa was crispy as it should be. The staff were attentive, but not too attentive, and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We all talked about what a lovely experience the evening had been on the drive home.

Lovely ambience, warm welcome and a lovely breakfast. Cheese soufflé with smoked haddock and a ‘mock tail’ of orange, bitter lemon and rosemary, served with a smile. The fantastic Gingerbread display made it feel very festive, incorporating a tribute to the sad recent loss of Chef Director, Richard Hughes.

Very lovely setting, very relaxing , tables not to near to each other, background music not to loud. Nice and clean. The food was excellent, top quality ingredients, expertly cooked and well presented. All the staff were very welcoming and polite and helpful. Very reasonably priced for the quality and service. Looking forward to returning.
