La legendaria historia del Diorio Restaurant dio comienzo a principios de la década de 1920. El fallecido Rocco Diorio fue el responsable de la comida tradicional de primera calidad y de muchos recuerdos inolvidables para la mayoría de las personas del área metropolitana de Waterbury. Este restaurante cerró en 1980 y fue vuelto a inaugurar en 1991 tras una restauración completa que le devolvió su esplendor original. No obstante, la leyenda continúa ya que su equipo se mantiene fiel a esos entrañables recuerdos. Este establecimiento conserva la barra de mármol original, las mesas de caoba tipo cabina de gran tamaño, los techos de hojalata y los impresionantes espejos grabados al ácido con imágenes de la histórica Waterbury. También alberga un salón comedor privado para eventos particulares o corporativos. El Diorio Restaurant vuelve a gozar una vez más de su reputación como uno de los mejores establecimientos de Waterbury.
