Shimogamo Saryo is a Japanese restaurant that was created over 150 years ago in 1856. In addition to being a beautiful restaurant, Shimogamo Saryo is also a wedding venue and can be rented out for both the ceremony and reception. There is a comfortable and cozy main dining area as well as a separate tea garden where guests can enjoy the ancient traditional tea blends of Japan's tea culture. Shimogamo Saryo's menu is made up of modern and creative versions of traditional Japanese fare. There is also a separate sake bar with a substantial collection of the famous rice wine.

“Tankuma” was born on the banks of the Takase River in Kyoto, famous for “Takase Fune” at the beginning of Showa period. Takasegawa-suji is a place where Ikushu restaurants serving seasonal river fish were lined up in the Edo period, but our “Tankuma” has been working hard since then. After the war, we continued to make steady progress with the support of Ryosensen, Junichiro Tanizaki, Isao Yoshii, and other literary artists. The name “Yugyoan” was named after the long-cherished “Rishinyusho”, which has been the best delicacy in China.
