Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe. We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation. Waiters were very sweet but took forever to serve our 4 course dinner. Had to ask for refill of water 5 times. Food was yummy but service could definitely be improved.

Petite filet mignon was excellent and perfectly cooked. Weinerschnitzel is a consistent performer. Our waiter is just phenomenal, knows when to approach and serves with a smile.

All the staff is wonderful. Francisco has been our waiter many times. He is wonderful & very attentive. The owner Clyde, does not cut corners. Most of hid food is made by scratch & is premium as well as his accommodations. I would highly recommend this Restaurant. If there was 10 stars to give, I would give 20 stars.
